Away Again

One by one they were swept afar into the distant depths of her mind. If she could but keep them there before her forever...teetering on the edge of the void. But all things fall in this place and no matter how hard she tries, they fade into oblivion. She remembers not about them. Only the love that she felt remains in her desperate grasp. Yet she looks upon the land with seeking eyes...wishful to but feel their presence once more. When again her gaze is left alone, sorrow blurs her sight, for her heart has been broken too many times. She lives to honor them, to make the Great Author of Life proud in her work, but such a feat is more difficult than it may seem, for to this child they are the world. They are the greatest warriors that have ever conquered the mind...and she is only a young girl, alone in her hopeless journey.
